ok 南香茄子 never disappoints but this had a stylistic twist that was quite pleasing! a little sweet after awhile but hits the spot really well. super fresh and hot

After waiting roughly 25 minutes for a table after being told the wait was only 15 minutes, my friend and I were take to a table directly next to the bathroom. When I asked the waiter about a certain dish (in English) he seemed irritated and essentially told me which dish he thought I should order instead. Trusting him, I ordered the riso fresha with beef. Everything in the dish was extremely bland and boring. It took over an hour for my friend to receive his order of 5 dumplings while tables all around us were being served. It seemed as if nobody had any interest in serving us our food and seemed generally annoyed with our presence. I will never come back here. The hostess was nice, though.

This place was packed when we arrived (without a reservation, keep in mind for next time). Our first time here, we didn't know portions were HUGE enough to feed 2 or more people so we ended up leaving with 4 doggie bags:D. Very simple joint, full of both Chinese & Italians. Waiters a bit on the brusque side but they were so busy... The menu is endless. Needless to say, I picked the hottest dishes-like the Chinese people sitting next to me- while the people I was with went for the no-chili-or-I'll-die version. Naturally, my food was better than theirs:D:D Potstickers are humongous but not very flavorful. Don't bother. Most Italians should stick to stuffed eggplants, heartless veggies with no garlic (I had mine loaded) and all meat dishes not marked as "piccante" to survive and enjoy the experience. More traveled taste buds will rejoice slurping down their hotpots and all dishes marked as "piccante" (hot chili). Prices might seem a bit on the high side but consider that one dish feeds 2 or more. I now darn love the place.

The 4th paper shop of this restaurant but still located in convenience location, not too many table but food taste is fair, only concerning is many peoples line up and the staff will keep collect back your dishes and wish you to leave the soonest...
    Overall my comment = fair

Service seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. Took a long time for them to take an order, and then bizarrely, the plates came out individually and out of order (if you think appetizers come before the main course). Which I can shrug off if the food is something wonderful, but while the late coming raviolis were great, the main courses were nothing special. Can't imagine recommending this place.
